POSITION SUMMARY:

To administer, direct and supervise the operation of Senior Services of Will County and its subsidiaries within the policy structure and authorities delegated by the Board of Directors.

SALARY: The starting salary for this position is $115,000 annually.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelors degree required, advanced degree preferred
  2. Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience, non-profit setting preferred.
  3. Knowledge of non-profit operations including program design and evaluation, fundraising and revenue development, grant management, human resources, board development, strong business and financial acumen and thorough understanding of best practices in leadership management.
  4. Previous experience working with older adults preferred.
  5. Demonstrated critical thinking and project management experience.
  6. Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and evaluate the goals, objectives, policies and procedures necessary for effective management of the organization.
  7. Must have the ability to travel, if necessary, throughout Will County, surrounding areas and state of Illinois.
  8. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively on cross-functional committees and teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain and effectively enforce all constitutional or statutory laws, state regulations and policies of the agency.
  2. Direct and supervise the preparation of the annual budget, Federal and State grants and other fiscal proposals. Administer the budget as enacted by the Board of Directors in accordance with Board policies and legal requirements.
  3. Evaluate the implementation of programs, services and other initiatives including staffing, customer satisfaction and service delivery, innovation, efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  4. Provide accurate, timely and regular reporting to the Board of Directors and other entities as requested.
  5. Recruit and retain leadership staff directors for all divisions and departments within the organization.
  6. Leads and drives strategies, initiatives and programs that foster a working environment to support team members professional growth by creating strong performance standards and review, learning and development opportunities, and succession plans.
  7. Maintain or cause to be maintained, personnel records, accounting records, business records and all other records considered necessary for the efficiency of the agency or as required by Federal and State agencies.
  8. Establish administrative guidelines that will actualize the policies, rules and regulations of the Board of Directors.
  9. Manages and directs corrective actions as necessary to ensure operational metrics in budget performance for programs.
  10. Cultivates and maintains a positive relationship with members, stakeholders and residents throughout Will County showing a high level of visibility by attending meetings, functions and other community events.
