Volunteers
Senior Services offers a wide variety of volunteer and educational opportunities. The Center could not provide programs and services to the growing older adult population without the dedicated assistance of volunteers.

Drivers and Meal Site helpers
- Helping Hands Volunteers
Volunteers for Bolingbrook, Romeoville and Joliet sites who complete various tasks for the Center:
- Newsletter Assembly
- Mass mailings and appeals
SeniorNet Instructors and Coaches
- Special Event Volunteers
(Assist with our fundraising events)
- Money Management Volunteers
(Representative payees for the Money Management Program)
- Volunteer Tax Counselors for the Elderly
(TCE, Tax Aide Program sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service and the American Association of Retired Persons)
- Gift Shop Volunteers
(Volunteers to work as clerks in our gift shop and to donate time as members of our Gift Shop Guild-persons who make items to sell in our gift shop)
- Long Term Care Ombudsman Volunteers
(trained volunteers who advocate for residents of licensed long term care facilities in Will, Grundy and Kankakee counties)
The Senior Services Center of Will County recognizes its dedicated volunteers at the Center's annual Volunteer Recognition Breakfast each January. Senior Services' volunteers have given over 590,100 hours of service to date.
