Senior Services
offers a wide variety of volunteer and educational opportunities.
The Center could not provide programs and services
to the growing older adult population without the dedicated
assistance
of volunteers.

(volunteers to work as clerks in our gift shop and to
donate time as members of our Gift Shop Guild-persons
who make items to sell in our gift shop)
Tag Day Volunteers
(volunteers to work at our Tag Day held each May at
various locations in Joliet)
Quilting Volunteers
(Volunteers do traditional hand quilting in a quilting
bee style. All quilting is done on consignment and proceeds
go to Senior Services.
Helping Hands
Volunteers
(Volunteers for Bolingbrook, Romeoville and Joliet sites
who make incontinence pads for cancer patients)
Long Term Care
Ombudsman Volunteers
(trained volunteers who advocate for residents of licensed
long term care facilities in Will, Grundy and Kankakee
counties)
The Senior Services Center of
Will County recognizes its dedicated volunteers at the
Center's annual Volunteer Recognition Breakfast each January.
Senior Services volunteers have given over 659,262
hours of service to date.
