March for Meals
"So No Senior Goes Hungry"

March for Meals is a national public awareness campaign with a purpose of bringing attention to senior hunger throughout the US. It magnifies the continuing importance of ongoing meal programs and the need for an increase in resources. As the elderly population increases, more and more seniors need nutrition services.

Last year, our agency delivered over 90,000 meals to 703 different elderly persons residing in Will County. In addition, our agency provided over 18,000 meals to
425
different elderly persons at our 11 congregate sites.

Unfortunately, increasing demand, decreasing local funding, and increasing costs has affected our ability to provide meals for the seniors in Will County. Currently, our meal program has a waiting list of around 300 persons.

You can help by supporting the March for Meals Campaign!
