About Us

The Senior Services Center of Will County is dedicated to enhancing the lives of Will County’s growing senior population. As a not-for-profit agency, Senior Services Center has been providing programs and services to the area’s older adults and their families since 1967. The Center’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of older persons, help maintain their independence, avoid or lessen isolation and loneliness and maintain wellness. This is being accomplished through a variety of interactive programs, classes, activities and rewarding volunteer opportunities.

Hours of Operation
The Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional weekend activities are offered.

Program Eligibility/ Membership
Senior Services programs are open to individuals age 50 and over. The Center has a voluntary membership that assists in supporting the Center. Benefits of membership include our bi-monthly newsletter, The Silver Lining, as well as discounts on bus trips, classes and the gift shop. The cost of membership (includes newsletter) is $30/single; $40/couple. Cost of newsletter only is $15.

Membership is voluntary and is not a requirement for participation.

Please note: eligibility for some programs such as the Community Care program or Home Delivered Meals, begins at age 60. For some of the programs offered, income and determination of need is considered as criteria.

County-Wide Services
The Center’s programs and services are offered throughout the county at various locations. The Center is accessible throughout Will County by dialing our toll free number, (800) 892-1412. If you are hearing impaired please dial (815) 723-1718.

Gift Shop
Our agency offers a unique gift shop that features gifts, seasonal and holiday items, handcrafted items (including crocheted baby blankets/afghans, baby clothes and bonnets), stationery, home decor, candles, cards for every occasion and much more. The gift shop is open to the public.

The Senior Services Center of Will County is supported by the Illinois Department on Aging, Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging, United Way and voluntary contributions.
